The Jefferson County Emergency Communications Authority (JCECA) Advisory Committee is comprised of representatives from the ten 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) in Jefferson and Broomfield Counties.The Advisory Committee representatives meet each month to discuss operational issues related to their PSAP, exchange operational information with other PSAP representatives and to review and make recommendations regarding expenditure requests that are presented to the JCECA Board of Directors.

* In Jefferson and Broomfield counties all 9-1-1 calls are answered by call-takers at a Primary PSAP.  As you can see from the list above, this can be a municipal or county communications center that dispatches law enforcement, fire and EMS services.  Call-takers determine if law enforcement, fire and/or EMS services are needed at the location of occurrence.  If the Primary PSAP does not dispatch the fire-EMS agency that covers the location of occurrence, the call will be transferred to the appropriate secondary PSAP.
